"It will help us all if you will post an introductory message that
tells us a bit about yourself and your recording background. We'd
like to know something about your area of expertise and experience
and where you are located."

Hello,
I am a UK based Recordist living near Cambridge(UK). I joined the BBC
at Ealing Film Studios back in 1982,it was still possible to get a
great training, paid for by a prestigious employer. I gained
extensive experience in all areas of audio pre and post production,
working on a wide range of program types with the benefit of the
experience of many more senior colleagues. For the last 5 years I
have been freelance and still work on a broad range of programs.
Being lucky enough to travel widely whilst working, I am always
listening out for recording opportunities wherever in the world I
find myself.
As a freelance, I already own a range of pro equipment, much of it
suited to nature and wildlife recording; it was my search for info on
parabolic microphones that brought me to your group.
Of all the things that I have recorded over the years it is the
Elephant Seal colony in the Falkland islands that has left bigest
impression :-)
So,hello... I am looking foreward to many interesting discussions
with you all......
