I would love to hear the Kelso dune singing.

To post it:
First sure you are signed in to the group.
>From the menu select "Files."
At the top of the list of files select "Add File."
Click "Browse" to find and select the file to on your computer.
Click "Open"
Add some text in the "Description" box if you want, and click on
"Upload File."
Before uploading you can check the box to "Send a message to the group
announcing this file," but I usually wait until it is uploaded and
then add the file name to the end of the URL on the files page and
copy that address into the text of a separate email that I will post
to the group.
Be aware there is only 20MB of total space there, so smaller files are
best.

As an example, I just now posted this file:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/naturerecordists/files/jh-050620-night.mp3

It is an example of some night sounds I recently recorded in the
Aldrich Mountains in eastern Oregon, using a PMD670 and two NT1-As.
I think the owl is a Flammulated Owl, but can anyone identify the
crickets? There is also an occasional distant growly moan that I
think is an elk.

Another way to post a file is to upload it to your own webspace and
provide the URL. For instance, that same file of mine is located at:

www.rockscallop.org/ear/jh-050620-night.mp3

So, I didn't really need to post it to the group files: I'll remove it
soon so not to hog space.
