As I had said to you in a personal e-mail you took me out of context, I was
purely pointing out that this is a nature recording group; this is exactly
the kind of postings that come from environmental statements. You are quite
welcome to join the naturesound group, a spin off from this group and voice
off any concerns regarding these kinds of issues. I would suggest instead of
posting your grievances here, you direct them to the person/persons via
private e-mail.

Subject: [Nature Recordists] speaking up

Dear all,

I was deeply offended by a note posted to this listserve which said,

" if I became terminally ill, I would
personally go out and shoot as many hunters as I could muster up"

As a peace-loving, life-long birdwatcher and wildlife biologist who
has hunted and fished in the past, I am offended. All members of this
listserve do not share all the same perspectives, nor should they. As
a participant, I have been learning about recording nature, but I will
probably resign as a result.
