Subject: Call for Ambient Recordings of Locations for Kerouac 'On the Road'= Show
From: "marcthor97" <>
Date: Sat, 16 Apr 2005 03:24:58 -0000
Inviting submissions by recordists of ambient sounds
from specific urban and rural locations for inclusion in a
not-for-profit multimedia show based on Jack Kerouac's
"On the Road." (Recordings of specific nature sounds
requested in separate emailing.)

I'm a composer in NYC organizing the show.
Recordings from various locations will be mixed together
and played during the performance, which will also
include DJ/VJ, jazz combo, dance, and film clips, and
other live performers.

Contributors will be acknowledged in publications by the
project. (Anonymous contributions welcome also.)

If you'd like to participate, just record whatever sounds you
find in location(s) listed below, without knowing
beforehand exactly what sounds will be there.
This is not a contest. We are looking for ambient sounds
so please: Avoid producing sounds or causing sounds
to occur. No added commentary. No recordings of music
unless as unplanned part of environment.

THANKS!

Use any means of recording (digital rec, dvd, etc.) but send
submissions on audio CD or audio flashcard if possible.
Record 30 seconds to 10 minutes.

Deadline: July 4, 2005.

Send submissions, unedited and LABELED WITH
LOCATION (as listed below) to:
