Hi-MD Transfer Breakthrough?

Buffalo's Hi-MD Player. http://tinyurl.com/5v7so
This looks promising. I have been avoiding the leap to Hi-MD because of
the transfer hassles. I cannot read the original Japanese site but this
review seems to suggest that click and drag transfers are possible
without going through SonicStage. If so, having one of these little
units on the desktop as a transfer deck makes sense. Too bad it is not
also a recorder.

A Sony branded device also seems to hold some promise
(http://tinyurl.com/6tfev). I would imagine that the Buffalo device
would be less expensive.
