Hi all: With a little bit of buzz about using HiMD and line inputs, I thought I'd add what I learned from Sony (3 e-mail exchanges, one 15-minute= phone call). When using the line input (no matter whether analog or digital, no matter whether TIME MARK is ON or OFF, no matter whether SYNC REC is on or off), you'll get an automatic track number added if there's more than 2 seconds of "silence," as defined in mV and dB on page 93 of the= manual. That's a very annoying feature that cannot be overridden. Grrrrrrr. . . . . best regards . . .
