Dear Nature Recordists, I have tried charging telinga pro 5 with Duracell Plus alkaline batteries and found that accumulator voltage does not go beyond 4.4 Volt (from 3.5 ,4.1 etc initial voltage)or so . I have tried this with three new batteries. So, I can only use Telinga with Duracell Battery remaining attached while recording which is quite cumbersome and risky for equipment. I do not know whether there is problem with accumulator or batteries, or it is the charging process which is wrong i.e. may be it should be charged after fully discharging it. I request for advice from experienced Telinga users and others.
