Scripting with Adobe Audition

Hi,

When I have recorded a full MD of birds calls and songs, I usually have
50 or more tracks, that I transfer to a PC. I then want to save each
track into its own wav file, numbered from 1 (for example, for a MD
named XYZ, that would give XYZ-01.WAV, XYZ-02.WAV, XYZ-03.WAV, etc.)

When transferring the MD content from the Portadisc to the PC (into
Audition), I wait about 5 sec after each track, in order to get a single
wav with clear separations between tracks. Then, I manually select a
track with about 2 seconds of blank at the end, and save it as
XYZ-01.WAV. I then delete that selection, and repeat the process with
the next track.

With 50 or more tracks, that can be tedious...
I have tried to automate the process with a script, but haven't been
successful.
Does anyone have a better solution to achieve this goal ?

Thanks for any input,

DL
