It's a 5 pin XLR, pinouts:
1 - Common
2 - Left signal hot
3 - Left signal cold
4 - Right signal hot
5 - Right signal cold
I use this pin pattern on all my stereo cables. I use Neutric X-HD
weatherproof XLR's and Canure star quad cable. For the stereo I use the
4 conductors in the star quad for the two channels, blue for the hot
sides, white for the cold. This slightly negates the star quad's noise
resistance, but that's not been a problem for nature recording.
It's better to rig with stereo cables like that, and just make up short
Y adapters at the recorder (and mic if separate mics). I use the color
marker bands or color caps to code the connectors. Far less tangle
problem out in the field with just a single line to run. Canure makes
two diameters of the star quad, the small diameter makes for a light
cable, though it's just a little more trouble to coil.
