Hi Martyn (and anyone else who might like to listen),

A bit later than hoped, not sure if it's still of any use but I'm
uploading now a high-bit-rate MP3 (.WAV) to follow to my site.

If you look in:

  http://www.quietamerican.org/download/dropbox/

the filename will be "aaron_ximm-Nanjing_doves"...

The best bit for your purposes is the last minute, starting around 2:30
into the recording (only 3:30, my disk ran out!). The fellow "cooing" in
the background was feeding the doves (earlier I said "shooing" but my
notes say feeding).

Recorded with Sonic Studios DSM-6S/EH mics to Sony MZ-R700 (my least
favorite MD deck, purchased in Kathmandu as a replacement...), no external
pre. Doves in a park at dusk in Nanjing, China, July 2001.

 best regards,
  aaron
