I'd just like to add a note from my long interest in the consumer 
fraud that is rampant in the "high-end" audio industry, and by 
osmosis, has leaked into professional audio.

No type of connector sounds better than any other type. The choice of 
connector should be made (in priority order) by 1) standards and 
customs, 2) reliability, 3) cost.
