I have a friend that is getting a new PC. He is an excellent field recordist and has been using an RDAT for some time and may be upgrading to an HD based recorder soon. The one question that we have is: what is the state-of-the-art in digital sound cards for an XP based PC? It would need AES inputs as well as inputs. I am assuming that the newer HD based recorders are using firewire or USB 2.0 to move data to the PC. Thanks in advance, Wil Hershberger ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
