Bill was a pioneer of underwater bioacoustics and he was the first to make underwater recordings of marine mammals in the Mediterranean Sea. I never worked with him, but I was lucky enough to meet him and to share recordings with his sound library. I exchanged some emails just few months ago and I never imagined he was close to leave. I'm sad for this.
