Rob and others, Thanks lots for the very helpful information and
comments. The photos of your mount are very helpful, as I'm in a
low-no budget situation outside the US. What is the screening
material you show? Does the foam windscreen go over that, I assume?=20
Can someone comment on the use of an optional parabolic reflector with
M-S vs X-Y configuration microphones?=20
I have a specific requirement for some single-species work, but Bernie
and others have expanded my desire to do Soundscapes as well.=20
I've been primarily an equipment/studio designer and music recording
engineer. The wider perspective this group has provided, along with
an opportunity to do field work with a professional naturalist has me
busting with ideas! Yesterday I was at the local 'market' in LaMarsa,
Tunisia and I was intrigued with the soundscape I was hearing. I do a
lot of photography and now I'm intrigued with the possibilities in
'slide show' type presentations with well-edited accompanying
soundscapes. Do any of you have such a presentation on the Web that I
could check out?=20
Yikes! I'm running outta Head Room...
