Let me try this again: somehow it got all split up when I pasted it 
in.

This is what it sounds like when thousands of Vaux's Swifts 
finally begin their daily funnel down the furnace chimney at 
Chapman School in Portland Oregon.

This daily party happens every September here in Portland just 
after sunset for about three weeks. If you are interested in 
attending, it is advised by many that you stop at Food Front Coop 
on Thurman street on the way and pick up a bottle of wine and 
some food and show up early.  I doubt drinking is legal in the 
park, but you will blend in if you pick a spot amongst the regulars 
close to the Audubon Society of Portland's Swift Watch table.
