We are sending an availability update to the "opt-in" e-mail list
early next
week (Jukka, you're on it...twice). It will also be posted on the SD web
site.
In the meantime, if you have a fast printer and are an insomniac, the
four-channel unit's User Guide is now public. It is available from the
main
product page at the Sound Devices web site. Please excuse my last
remaining
typos.

Not much, recorded a few frogs in Kentucky one night, love their
wildlife preserves, no locked gates, good graded roads, you can camp
easily. Got together with Rob and his bunch in Wisconsin for a enjoyable
evening of recording, though not a lot to record.

In addition to contacting TSA, call your local congressman's office,
they love to help in election years. Amazing how much more weight your
complaint carries when a congressman's aide communicates it. And they
bloody well need to fix this problem they created. Rampant stealing is
not national security, it's stealing. This goes for everybody who's had
something taken, get your congressman involved EVERY TIME! They'll get
the message if enough complaints roll in. As far as I'm concerned some
court should order a halt to the inspections until they can guarantee no
theft. They are hurting us, not terrorists. They are doing exactly what
the terrorists want them to do, ruin our lives.

Not tempted, like to keep up. If I had to replace the portadisc and they
were no longer available then the Sound Devices would be high on the
list. But probably the 2 channel.
