As Walt will appreciate, I smoked my laptop audio interface in the field while trying to cope with insects and software at the same time. Thus, my enthusiasm for a device like the ua-25 has lost some field appeal but it does seem to be a versatile piece for those considering buying their first interface-- 24 bit capable with stereo mic pres and phantom power for same cost as the older UA's. Some of Edirol's products do standalone,.. Can anyone determine what the gain is on the mic pres? http://edirol.com/products/info/ua25.html Rob D. -- Rob Danielson Film Department University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
