I am sorry for posting a conclusion based on my observations. So to make it clear and to let you draw your own conclusions on what the mystery of atrac is I post this. One me-62 mic. One mz-r55 md. One channel straight through. One channel through a 10,000 ohm resister. The result is the frequency analysis averaged over a 20 second span. a small 44kb download http://home.comcast.net/~richpeet/resist10000.jpg Let that clear up your mud.
