Hi all. I bought a new "super silent" PC just before Christmas. Yes, it had a big,= slow, fan and rubber suspended disc-drives. Nice. I bought it with XP installed. Then I installed Office 2000 and a few small programs. Nothing m= ore. But one stereo channel was completelly dead. I was sure it was a hardware problem. That's also what they told me at the computer repair shop. "Faulty= sound card". I didn't bother, as I was going to install another sound card= anyway. Now I have, but one channel is still dead!! All settings seems to be correc= t. What could be the trouble? Noone here has ever heard of a XP software problem which can cause silence in one stereo channel. Or mother board prob= lem. Klas. ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
