Just in case some of the other answers got a bit too technical about
"pseudo stereo," let me take a stab at your question. Is the problem
that your playback device does not play your mono file into both sides
of your headphones? If so, then you might need to copy it to the right
channel in order to enjoy listening to it. What you will have then is
simple two-channel mono. If your playback device will play a mono file
into both speakers or both sides of your headphones, then there is no
reason to use up any extra disk space or other kind of memory.
