Rob Danielson commented on my report that the Shure 183 mics packaged with the battery/phantom power module work fine on plug-in-power without the module: >Great that the output went back up! What do I do with pins 3 and 4 on >the 2- TA4F connectors? > >http://www.uwm.edu/PSOA///Film/Danielson/shure183p-i-pAdaptercablINC.jpg Note that the identifications of pins 2 and 3 are reversed in the above-referenced diagram. Pin 2 is the "bottom" pin, like a DIN plug, not an XLR. And the red wire was connected to pin 2, the bottom one. Mine came with pins 3 & 4 connected together inside the female (!) mic cable connector. Connect shield to 1, 3 & 4 together. Connect hot to 2. -Dan Dugan ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
