The moral of the story here is if you go out Hiking; make sure the other
people you are with are uglier than you!!!

Make every Garden a wildlife Habitat!
When the animals come to us,
Asking for our help,
Will we know what they are saying?
When the plants speak to us
In their delicate, beautiful language,
Will we be able to answer them?
When the planet herself
Sings to us in our dreams,
Will we be able to wake ourselves, and act?

My recollections are that the majority of people attacked by CA
mountain lions are lone women or children. A few years ago a lone woman
jogger of excellent health and fitness was killed by a mountain lion - I
heard a lot about this because she was also a bird watcher. This latest
attack happened when the woman was temporarily separated from her
companions. I also remember being told in Africa that the baboons would
attack women but not men. Whether it was scent or behavior nobody could say=
.
If I am wrong about the demographics here, I apologize. If I'm
right, a word to the wise....
