Thank you all for your quick identifications of my unknown. I have
seen Winter Wrens in my backyard (Long Island) infrequently in the
winter but never heard them sing. Your kind help will allow me to
catalog another first for my collection. I only wish I was able to
see him. My wife and I spent 15 minutes scanning the evergreens but
could not find the bird.
