Klas-
I made a quickie Blumline mount from cutaway 6" PVC-- tall as you
suggest, with about 1" separating them. I couldn't get the right
amount of dampening with my usual assortment of rubber bands. I was
going to try some small "bungee cords next. Also might need some way
to strain-relief/suspend the cable so the movement of the cable is
also dampened.
My plan was to use the an NT1-A as the Mid and the CAD 179 as the
Side but when I run them through the MP-2, the CAD has considerably
more noise-- possibly more than the 11dB(A) they advertise using my
MKH-30 [13dB(A)] as a guide. I have to pull the mic pre gain back on
the NT-1A to match the level ouput of the CAD-179. Rob D.
