Hi John,

Portadisc can help, although a bit contrived but works.

Get another blank disc , insert in Portadisc and record a single track all
the way through. When finished, do not eject the disc - just remove all
power - this prevents the TOC from being written - instead the TOC info wil=
l
be stored in an internal buffer. When the power is removed, take off top
cover (4 screws) and manually eject disc - turn the big white gear
anti-clockwise.

Now retrieve the disc which you want to un-erase and manually load the disc
by turning the big white gear clockwise (a little pressure on the disc
itself will help the gear grab the disc). Once disc is fully loaded,
reconnect power and turn on. The Portadisc knows that power was lost before
it had a chance to update the last TOC, so will write the TOC stored in its
memory to disc. We will now have a disc with a single track containing the
previously erased material.

best regards

Paul , HHB

Dear All,

I just returned from Ecuador where one of my guides has a real problem. He=

recorded on 3 minidiscs which when they are put back in the machine show no=

data. The discs are full because if you try and record on them it goes to
overwrite mode. I guess the data is there, but the index seems to be lost.
Does anyone
know where I could send these minidisks to have the data retrieved? There
are
some important recordings on them.

Thanks for the continued help.
