noise reduction techniques

Subject: noise reduction techniques

It would be a good exercise but this sound sample is not a good one
to start on.
I did edit the example to smooth the abrupt knee of this particular
stereo parabolic as well as smooth the very high frequencies to cover
the consumer MD effects.

I edit different for each of my mic types as well as equipment types
as well as targeted playback equipment and environments.=20

Edited examples for both typical noise probems considering different
sound usages would be usefull as well as edits for various major
Microphone types in nature recording (ie Telinga, shotguns, mixed
sound, etc). Bass management is also a big challenge in Natural Sound
and I can think of a number of methodologies used to achieve that.
Typical Crop, Loop, mix, and noise reduction methods?
Then the edits needed for radio vs studio vs exhibits vs computer vs
video vs childrens toys vs playback? Well maybe playback is the same
as childrens toys. Then the edits needed for Cassette vs MD vs DAT vs
WEB?

This topic can easily snowball to a huge project and topic and the
more I think about it may be too large for a newsgroup to address in
a consolidated location. All of this stuff has been touched on over
time here. Maybe that is the best way for it to continue to be. To
address a consolidated effort it may need to stay as a field
classroom approach or text to be well covered.
