Subject: [Nature Recordists] Bill Kerr a coincidence.

Dear Bill,

Yesterday I was at a fellow recordists home here in
Brisbane when para. came into our conversation. It
turned out that he had a Dan Gibson so I was able to
take a look at one. Very nicely made with nice
touches like the sight for aiming it. The owner was
quite complementry about the mic. even though it is a
dynamic. His only complaint was that handling noise
transmited through the handgrip could be annoying.
This is of no concern if you use it mounted on a
tripod, he was going to try wraping the handgrip with
foam and then suede to dampen this problem. His wife
complained that the plastic which the dish is made
from has an unpleasent smell even though it is 25
years old.!
