Hi all,
I'm not an exert in microphones and I'd like to start recording
soundscapes and animal voices. Other than using ultradirectional mics I
already have, I'd like to have a pair of condenser microphones with flat
response, good sensitivity and very low noise as I don't want to hear hisses.
Also, I don't want to spend a fortune...
By looking on Bayviewpro I found the following cardioid mics, offered in pairs:
AKG C1000S at 279$
RODE NT5 at 299$
Cascada M1 at 149$
Do you have any experience with these mics ? Could you suggest a good
choice among these or suggest alternatives, maybe with omnidirectional models ?
After choising the mics I'll also need advice about experimenting different
techinques. I'll start with binaural recordings... but then I'll need your
help!
All the best,
Gianni
PS: for recording I'll use and compare laptop recording through the Roland
UA5, laptop and PDA recording with the complete core-sound system, and Sony
TCD7 recording...
