specifications:

dimensions 240 x 210 x 100mm (9.5 x 8.25 x 4 in)
weight: 2Kg (70 ounces) w/o batteries
this is two inches thicker, and a little heavier
than the HHB Portadisc

power source: 4 AA batteries or 12V external source
claimed 2 hour run-time on 4AA batteries

sampling rate: up to 24/192
file format: Broadcast WAV only

recording medium: CompactFlash or
1.8 inch hard disc in PC Card package

Currently 5GB is maximum for hard disc.
5GB sounds like a lot of space, but it can hold
only 72 minutes of stereo 24/192 digitized sound.

If you choose DAT-quality 16/48 sampling instead,
you can record stereo for more than 7 hours

new file names increment automatically
so you can't accidentally write over an existing recording

pre-record buffer: 10 seconds

mic inputs: two XLR, balanced, 48V phantom power
analog line level: stereo input and output

optional timecode generator

file transfer: onboard USB (2.0?)

digital input and output SPDIF via XLR style connectors

onboard speaker: 1000 mW (typical cassette recorder is 500-700mW)
