Yes. There are several instances since all living organisms are
thought to produce a sound signature. There was just a recent paper
published on the signature of a virus (related to HIV issues)
signatures as they released themselves from cell walls to which they
were attached. The study was done by a cell biologist at Cambridge or
Oxford and published either late last year or early this year.
