Hi, I drove about 150 kms last night in order to reach a place where someone had heard a Scops Owl (Otus scops) a couple of days ago... Alas, I wasn't lucky. However, there were several Tawny Owls on the spot, as well as some kind of "electronic beepers" that turned out to be Midwife Toads... I've put some of my recordings on-line : http://www.pca.be/samples Dominique PS : I couldn't stop thinking about how it would feel to hear such calls in the middle of the night, somewhere in a Transylvanian forest ;-) ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
