A pig frog's territorial call sounds like spitting tobacco. I was being
polite about the river frogs, but it fits. That's the one that I'm
thinking is their territorial call. And believe me, out there it's very
realistic sounding.

I try to avoid recording my body sounds. Though I have had evenings when
it was a problem. Every time I'd start recording my digestive system
would start churning.

I just was too tired and it too late to get into doing several mics. The
SASS/MKH-20 was what I had set up from the last site. As it was I
recorded nearly 40 minutes worth. Also did some hand held at first until
I decided to set the stand up.

I've used the SASS/MKH-110 from time to time on low frogs. No real
systematic tests yet. One problem with it is that it picks up low stuff
so well you need locations where there is not any noise pollution.

Walt
