I'm going to talk briefly about new developments in recording technology at the Nature Sounds Society's annual Field Recording Workshop in the Sierras this weekend. Here's a list of items I'll mention: Microphones: Sennheiser MKH 418 stereo short shotgun Rode NT4 XY mike Preamps: Mineroff SME-BA4 booster Recorders: Nagra V Marantz PMD-670 flash card recorder Sound Devices 755T and 722 4 and 2-track recorders Aaton Cantar HHB PDR2000 8-track HD recorder Fostex PD-6 Tell me what else I'm missing! New since last summer.
