Hi, I recently read on the DV Info board that someone believes that the Sony ECM 957 5-pin XLR can be prought out to balance stereo pair. The logic being that the mic has a 5-pin XLR, which does have just enough pins to make this possible. Can anyone confirm this, or is it (as I suspect) wishfull thinking. Does anyone have the pin functions for this mic? The 957 comes with a 5-pin XLR to 3.5 Stereo jack. One has to wonder why Sony took this route rather than hardwire the connector as they have on the 907. As an aside, I have found this mic much better than the cheaper 907, with good clear sound.
