Thank you so much for the compliment but all I did was point & record,
he sang for nearly 30 minuets on the same limb as if the stage was all
his.. these birds are often very shy, yet I think with the traffic of
people that come through every day, he had kind of got used to it. They
are magnificent mimicker of other birds and noises. Often in the morning
you may think you are surrounded by a multitude of birds, only to find
out you have been fooled by a lyrebird.

I have never met a Lyrebird, but he sounds like quite a character!
You're recording was absolutely beatiful, with a tranquil ambience.
I had a similar pleasure last year listening to Syd Curtis award winning
bird for the Wildlife Sound Recording Society.
