Don't use it.
I am still experimenting with my Telinga equipped with the MKH 20. The MKH
20
came with a small ring (about 3/8" thick) called "the pressure buildup
ring".
It is supposed to fit about 1/2" from the top of the microphone and is used
to "increase the sensitivity of the MKH 20 within the frequency range 4-10 =
k
Hz by approx. 2 dB". My guess is that this is not applicable for use with
the
Telinga. Does this sound correct?
Much Thanks,

Welcome for comming out of lurk. I have a lurker friend that has
just configured the same dish with a mono RS mic element of the same
specs. His handle design was taken from the Roche dish design though.
Enjoy playing with stereo and good luck. I prefer using a barrier but
not to have it extend in front of the mic elements so as to reduce
low freq response. But this is still an open discussion and I am not
an engineer. Each trade off made to ones own desire and ear.
