Small diameter and windscreen hardly go together. You need the dead air
space for them to work well. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if
you want wind protection, you will have to tolerate larger size.

I doubt the pro foam screen would improve things a lot. A foam screen is
in effect a crude pop filter and dust protection, and as you noted brush
protection. As far as wind noise it's a whole bunch of tubes which
conduct the noise and wind directly to the mic. You need a more open
structure to gain on wind protection. It's layers of dead air between
layers that slow the wind that does it. You could probably do as well as
the pro cover by sewing a fleece tube cover for your current foam
screen. Use material like the Telinga wind cover material. I did try
this with my MKH-816's, and the results were hardly improved over
straight foam. Anything above a couple mph was risky. Consider the foam
stuff to be for indoors or calm conditions.

The next step up is the Rycote Softie. This is a fur covered slip on.
The inside is a very open foam mesh. If used with a thin windsock right
on the mic they are fairly good. It looks like the 29cm MH size fits the
ME67. The entire kit comes with a rubber shock mount and handgrip. The
Softie alone lists for something like $150, the entire setup about $300.
You can find them on ebay, but there is considerable demand.

Above that is the full up kit with suspension, zepplin, and furry cover.
Which does a much better job than a Softie. Again the ultimate also puts
a sock on the mic inside. These are about 4" in diameter and several
inches longer than the mic. They include a handgrip/tripod mount. They
are for both handling and wind noise. They are sold as separate units.
The modular suspension about $225, the zepplin/windshield about $270,
the furry cover/windjammer about $155. That's a total of $650 or so,
probably more than the mic cost. Which is why I haunt ebay, and we
mumble over ways to make our own. The entire kit in Sennheiser parts
instead of Rycote is shown on my M/S page:
http://frogrecordist.home.mindspring.com/docs/ms_mkh30+60.html
Note in addition to the fur cover, Rycote makes fleece "high wind"
covers that can be used in place of the fur. For less protection. These,
which require the suspension and zepplin are about $55.

Sennheiser has it's own line of wind covers similar to Rycote. And there
are a couple other brands. Everybody high priced.

Note if haunting ebay, the designs have undergone periodic changes and
there are lots of things that are not compatible.

And, after you get done, the mic does not have a lot of problems, but
all the wind in the vegetation and so on is still there.
