Dear Phil,
What you are hearing when using the ME67 may be either from handling noise,
or perhaps a defect in the mic. The Sennheiser mics are very sensitive
which makes them the perfect mic for recording quiet things such as birds,
but they are also sensitive to handling noise. Try wrapping a piece of foa=
m
around the end of the mic and putting your hand on top of the foam instead
of holding on to the mic itself. If the problem still exists, you may want
to send your mic back to Sennheiser for them to check out. Sennheiser
offers a one year warranty on their mics (parts and labor), so as long as i=
t
has been within a year of purchase, they should happily check it out for yo=
u
at no cost. Please let me know if you need any further information.
Thanks!
Most Sincerely,
Kathie Sevey
