Use a sampling rate of 44khz 16bit, this is the same as CD so avoids 
later conversions. For PC save as .wav, for macs save as aiff.

I use Sony or Fujitsu, and have had no problem. Make several copies and 
store them in different places, preferably in different buildings in 
case of fire.

Burn the CD's at only a moderate speed, like 4X. There have been some 
past discussions on the subject of burn speed vs CDR brand.
