This actually links to the same page as the link I gave.

I downloaded the latest version for mac OS9 and took another look. The 
memory management is much improved, pretty much will handle unlimited 
file sizes now, though you still need to give it a good sized chunk of 
RAM. The routines are incrementally faster, it can do a B&W sonogram at 
close to a 1X speed, though it has no way to play the sound while 
drawing, and in fact does not put it up until done.

It continues to be math formula intensive. If you understand the various 
concepts behind the names it may be useful.

It was highly confused doing linguistic analysis of frogcalls. I expect 
it's better with people, again you will want to know the jargon of 
speech analysis.

The interface is slightly less convoluted. Still has that interface as 
afterthought (and spend minimum time on it) feel to it.

I won't be jumping to it for sonograms from Spark XL or SoundHack.
