Match-to-sample software

I came across a program that claims to do ACR (Automatic call recognition)
while searching for a spectrogram program. It was written by Dave Mellinger
whom some of you probably know.

You can apparently load in a predetermined sample for it to recognise or even
an "artificially manufactured call" which I found interesting.

I downloaded it but only tried out the spectrogram part of the program. It does
have quite an extensive PDF file on how to operate it.
It automatically starts when you turn on the computer a feature which I
couldn't disable.

You need to give the site some personal detail before and receive a password
before you can download.
The site address was :
http://cetus.pmel.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/MobySoft.pl
