I've not tried them, I did buy my MKH-30 from Michael Vladiminsky of
Russian Transducer Technologies, the company that makes them. (That's
right, even russians sell stuff on Ebay) And he sent me a CD containing
sample recordings from a bunch of the mics. It's pretty much all
classical music, but sounds quite good, very clean. I could probably
forward some clips if you know which mic you are interested in. He puts
the mics up in Ebay auctions from time to time. He's very well organized
as far as shipping, though it get's a little fun to pay him. I did
western union, which is the expensive way. His instructions were very
specific and worked.
