Especially if they would clarify their equipment recommendations to
reflect current usage. It's a lot more of a problem than just if you can
contribute. Their equipment pages probably get more folks looking for
info than all that have ever taken their courses. They certainly get
quoted far and wide. I read that exact same information when I first
went with MD, virtually unchanged from now. (I also read a lot of other
info from other sources) I really expected better out of Cornell back
then, and I still do.
As far as I've heard the only MD equipment Cornell has is some to
transfer MD recordings into their system, no field gear at all. For the
last year or two they have accepted MD recordings. They pretty much had
to do this as more and more were using MD. To have held out on that end
would have cut their ability to bring in new material considerably.
