Yes, there is a bit of that, in that the CVX lacks a low filter, which was 
engaged on the ME-62. I'll have to redo the test without the roll-off on 
the ME-62. There is also the phenomenon of treble attenuation - low freq. 
sounds travel further and maintain the energy better than higher freqs. A 
parabola adjusts for this attenuation to a greater extent than the CVX, 
apparently, by gathering a larger sample and focusing it on the capsule. 
The CVX's amplification can only act on the sound that falls between its 
two plates - an area much smaller than that of most parabolas.
