A thought on flattening batteries - of the car variety. If in a remote location and likely to be doing a lot of recharging from you= r car battery without the motor running, park, if possible, facing down hill where you can start the motor by rolling down-hill if the battery gets flattened. (Only with a manual gear-box.) I once saved myself a long walk and a lot of trouble that way.
