I looked at this design as it appeared easy to build.
I am not a math whiz but as I understand it an audio tone of 4,186
cycles has a wave length of 3.25 inches. That means that a narrow
barrier has to be none reflective or you are going to have specific
frequencies cancelled out by the reflected sound from the disc.
This is why I went to thick heavy foam on my stereo block-head
barrier design.
The spacing between the mics on my design is roughly the same.
I must admit that I did not bother to prove my reservations about
this disc.
