Howdy, I'm wondering if there are any standard pieces of gear for battery powered multi track (4 tracks would be great, 3 is sufficient) recording. My preliminary research suggests there may be MD-based 'portastudio' type boxes capable of doing 4 track recording, albeit with MD-quality compression (perfectly acceptable) -- has anyone used such in the field? Any reviews or reports form the field? Laptops aren't really ideal, I'm looking for long-term battery power and something more rugged -- and cheaper -- for rough travel... Any comments, pointers would be most appreciated! Thanks and best regards, aaron http://www.quietamerican.org ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
