Chris,

I just made the same move from cassette to MD. I'm using a Sony MZ R 37SP. I 
like it because the controls are on the side rather than on the top. This is 
great since I carry it in a field case which I fasten to a binocular harness 
and I'm able to look down at at the face and make neccessary adjustments as I 
record. I am using a PASS MD- Report interface so I can have pro connections. 
I haven't done much recording with this setup yet, but so far so good.
