Looking on eBird there have been widespread records for August. My first one was on 17/8 at Jerra Wetlands and they arrived at my place on 23/8. They do enjoy a drink at my baths.

Hi All
Not really a birder so I don't recognise many bird calls. Also am deaf and vision-impaired. Hilarious really. But over the last couple of weeks I have been hearing the quintessential sound of the Australian bush on my landcare site in Higgins (Brazel/Hudson)
Street. It was a noisy friarbird, possibly more than one. They are not there all the time. Yesterday morning around 9am, three birds flew over my house toward Scullin. My husband confirmed they were Noisy Friarbirds.
Cheers.
