Superb Parrot mystery solved

Hello All

Thought I would report this just in case it was of interest.  This year we have had lots of Superb Parrots flying east to west and vice versa over our house, more so than the usual north-south route.  We know that they hang out quite a lot at Higgins oval but it was a bit mysterious as to where they were all heading off to just before dusk.  We know they visit Scullin a lot (Hargrave Street) but another neighbour recently told me that they are often in the trees near the dog park at Lake G.  That certainly makes sense since that is certainly the direction that we see them flying.  Over the last month, we have only been hearing them occasionally and certainly not in the numbers compared to when it was warmer.
